Dr. Sprake is Board Certified in the practice of Obstetrics and Gynecology and a Fellow in the American College of OB/GYN. (Board Certification requires annual continuing medical education to keep up to date.) He also works to adopt new surgical skills and therapies as they become available and proven to be effective. He has 25 years of practice experience, and now limits his practice to gynecology, emphasizing well women GYN care, menopausal management, pelvic surgery including minimally invasive techniques for hysterectomy and many other pelvic surgical procedures both inpatient and outpatient. He also focuses on the medical and surgical management of heavy menstrual flow affecting many women which can be treated safely with in office, minor surgery interventions. He performs female sterilization procedures and treats pelvic organ prolapse (falling down bladder, uterus and rectum), and frequently manages abnormal Pap tests.
