Dr. Strohman is Vice President of LifeScape Medical Associates. He attended the University of California, Davis where he received a Bachelor of Science with a double major in Biochemistry and Psychology. He earned his Doctor of Medicine from the Medical College of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia and completed three years of specialty training in Family Medicine at the Mayo Clinic Scottsdale where he was honored with the Residency Director’s Award. While attending the University of California, Dr. Strohman served as the director of a behavioral treatment program for autistic children and worked with Hospice. He performed clinical research in Pulmonary Medicine and Anesthesiology looking at the effects of cigarette smoke on antioxidant levels and had his work published in a major, peer-reviewed journal. Dr. Strohman also worked as a computer analyst and continues to be a leader in the application of information technology in modern healthcare. While at the Mayo Clinic, Dr. Strohman received supplementary training in Sports Medicine and functioned as team physician at the high school level. He has completed several advanced team physician courses sponsored by the American College of Sports Medicine and continues to work with both professional and amateur athletes. Dr. Strohman volunteers as the on-site physician at charitable athletic events and is the team physician for Notre Dame Preparatory High School throughout the entire year. Ranking Arizona lists Dr. Strohman as one of the State’s top Family Physicians and Best Doctors ranks him among the top 4% of Family Physicians nationally. He has been featured in several articles in The Arizona Republic and The East Valley Tribune on electronic health records, online access for patients, and sports-related conditions. Given his affinity for teaching, he is a Clinical Assistant Professor at The University of Arizona College of Medicine – Phoenix and educating first and second year medical students. Dr. Strohman is an active member of the medical community promoting information technology in healthcare and its impact on physician-patient interaction. Dr. Strohman is Board certified in Family Medicine and a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians and the American College of Sports Medicine. Beyond enjoying the full spectrum of Family Medicine, he has special clinical interests in diabetes management, male hormone management, and sports related injuries. Dr. Strohman recently completed some continued medical education in male testosterone manipulation and hyperlipidemia management and spoken publicaly on Male Health and Vitality. He currently serves as a Board Member for Scottsdale Health Partners. Dr. Strohman is married to his high school sweetheart, Dr. Lisa Strohman and they have two children; Lyla who is in Spanish immersion school and Colton who loves to play football and baseball. In his personal time, Dr. Strohman plays the guitar and piano, and is a film enthusiast. He plays hockey 2 nights a week; one on an “Over 40” league and another “Open league” with 20, 30 and 40 year olds.
