I never had a doctor take time to thoroughly explain things the way dr. Fan did. He was awesome and really took his time with me. I was very impressed and look forward to getting treatment from such a knowledgable professional. Thumbs High!!

in the office it went well, after leaving the office , I was told by him that he would call me with my test result's in two day's I called Him at 4: pm on friday and they were not going to let me talk to him, but I was persistence!!!! when we hung up I still don't know what the test result's are and what the pain is caused from..I was sent on wed, for major blood work and a c scan, I agreed because of fear, and now he told me the scan showed a tumor on kennedy and a cyst on liver but blood work was not in, and he would e-mail me the result's. and now his office is not open today, so I can't get in contact with them until Tuesday. I feel that I am just another Patient, but to me this is my life! and I have real pain and real fear! and I went and had the test done to get results. and as of now all I can see is a very costly BILL !

Had a great experience. I'm usually a tough critic when it comes to healthcare, but I have no complaints. I was waiting less than 15 minutes from door to doctor, he seemed very well informed AND he listened to me thoroughly without cutting me off (a big thing with me), he laid out options, and we went from there. His office even followed up to see how I was doing, something I haven't seen doctor offices do.
The only unfortunate thing about Dr Fan is that he's a specialist and not a primary care physician, but for anything GI-related that happens in the future, Dr Fan's my man.

Doctor did a very incomplete assessment. Did not ask me many questions and kept interrupting me. Did not do a physical exam of any sort. I felt he was dismissive despite the fact I was the only patient there so no excuse for not taking the time to do a thorough job. Fingernails not trimmed and a bit dirty which made me kind of glad he didn't do the rectal exam I was expecting. Will not be returning to this doc. On the plus side his office is new so his schedule is wide open.

I found him to be very professional and helpful. He takes the time to explain things to you and seems genuinely concerned about patients well-being. I think he is absolutely wonderful!

He seemed very caring. Dr. Fan listened intently to everything I had to say and then gave me detailed feedback about my condition. Dr. Fan was recommended to me by my friend when he was at UT Southwestern St. Paul University hospital. I was reluctant to go to downtown at that time. A few months ago, when I heard he has a new office right here in Richardson/Plano area, I booked my appointment right away. My experience with Dr. Fan and his staff was wonderful. He is very knowledgeable and diagnosed my problem correctly while my previous doctors were puzzled by my problems. I wish I had visited him three years ago. I'll definitely recommend him to my friends and family.
