Dr.Nahas, is a Fellowship Trained Medical Retina Specialist who obtained her Bachelors Degree and graduated Summa Cum Laude from Duke University. She received her Medical Degree from Johns Hopkins University where she was also elected Alpha Omega Alpha before completing her Ophthalmology residency at Stanford. Following residency, Dr. Nahas then completed her Fellowship in Medical Retina at the University of Miami Bascom Palmer.
Dr.Nahas has extensive clinical and surgical experience in the areas of Cataracts, Retinal and Diabetic Diseases, Glaucoma and Dry eyes.

Dr. Nahas & her team were very perceptive & didn't waste time squeezing me in during her busy schedule once I described my symptoms. They rushed me through the exams & pictures, once they saw that I had a Retinal detachment & 3 tears in my left eye.
Dr. Nahas immediately called one of the Doctors at the Bascom Palmer Eye Institute & was able to get me the 1st appt. the next day, which resulted in the Eye laser Surgery. I would definitely recommend her office any day!!

After results were gathered Dr Rahas sat down with me and thoroughly explained what my diagonsis was and all the options that were available. She took the time to answer all my questions. Dr Nahas was warm, kind and extremely thorough in her exam of my eyes. I had suffered an eye trauma and her knowledge, competency, and reassuring manner made my visit a pleasant experience! I will use Dr Nahas for all my vision needs from now on!
