Zuri Murrell, MD is a colorectal surgeon at the Colorectal Cancer Center at Cedars-Sinai. He is board certified in colorectal and general surgery.
Dr. Murrell’s main clinical and research interests are directed towards optimizing outcomes and techniques in colorectal cancer, Crohn’s disease, and ulcerative colitis. Moreover, he specializes in small incision techniques such as minimally-invasive single port laparoscopy, and robotic surgery.
Dr. Murrell has written numerous articles for peer-reviewed publications and is the primary author of two book chapters on colon and rectal surgery and ulcerative colitis.
After earning a bachelor's in biology at Morehouse College (magna cum laude), Dr. Murrell earned his medical degree at the David Geffen School of Medicine at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA).
