I went in for an allergy screening. This is the first time I've been screened. A nurse did the actual prick test where you are exposed in small patches of skin to fifty potential allergens. Then I was moved to a room and seen by a nursing student who did the medical history interview and took blood pressure. Dr. Salib has a very good ability to connect with me as a patient and talk through what we need to. He apologized for the long wait, which I didn't think was actually long at all. He clearly seemed to have a lot of work to do, but he spent a lot of time going back and forth with me over my allergy issues, and was supportive when I told him I wanted to take a slower treatment option than he proposed. He didn't try to force me to come around to his way of thinking. He said, "If you keep your cat, we will need to go hard on your allergies." I liked the informal tone and the team language he used. I will definitely go back to this office whenever I need to. Note to users: it may be best to book here by phone. Dr. Salib's office is open many days when he is not present, and the staff there will accept your ZocDoc appointment "with" him even if he's not in. The first time I booked here through ZocDoc, I did not see Dr. Salib; I'm glad I got to this time. Also, the desk staff doesn't keep great records about when your appointment is; I got multiples messages and calls saying I had appointments at different times. This is an urgent care center, so they focus on taking walk-ins quickly. Best to come at opening time if possible for you.
