I believe every individual can benefit from psychotherapy to help improve aspects of their lives that are presenting problems or obstacles. I provide neutral, non- judgmental, compassionate, supportive therapy. I utilize an eclectic approach combining strength based, solution focused strategies to help adults address their current challenges or struggles and improve their overall well-being.
I received my Bachelor’s degree in Human Development and Sociology from Boston College. Upon graduation, I entered Columbia University and received a Master’s Degree in Clinical Social Work. I began my career at New York Presbyterian Hospital Cornell Westchester Division where I worked for 8 years, initially on the Children’s Inpatient Psychiatric Unit and then as the Senior Social Worker on the Geriatric Inpatient Psychiatric Unit.
Currently I work as a municipal social worker where I provide crisis intervention, supportive counseling, emergency assistance and case management.
I have helped adults of all ages suffering from depression, anxiety, life transitions, divorce, grief and loss. I have been a clinical social worker for over 25 years and am licensed in Connecticut.
