Hi there! My name is Alissa, and I am passionate about helping people make positive changes in their lives. I believe that therapy is a journey to healing, and I am here to walk that path with you. Together, we will develop an innovative treatment plan tailored to your unique goals and needs.
I hold a B.A. from UMass Lowell and an M.S.W. from Boston University. For the past five years, I have been working with adults in a community setting, gaining valuable experience and insights. While I continue my community work, I am now offering telehealth therapy sessions in the evenings, making it more convenient for you to access the support you need.
I utilize a variety of treatment modalities, including cognitive behavioral therapy and mindfulness, to help you navigate life's challenges. My experience spans a range of issues, including depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, psychosis, relationship issues, stress, and grief. I also specialize in areas such as trauma, PTSD, adolescent and teen mental health, perinatal support, phobias, OCD, addiction, sleep disorders, spirituality, gender identity, LGBTQIA+ support, and more.
When we work together, you can expect a compassionate and collaborative approach. I am committed to creating a safe and supportive environment where you feel heard and understood. My goal is to empower you with the tools and strategies you need to thrive.
Outside of my professional life, I enjoy caring for my many pets and singing. These activities bring me joy and balance, and I believe in the importance of nurturing our passions and interests.
