I have ten years of experience working in residential care, where I've been blessed to support adolescents and their families. Typically, when families seek residential care for their children, they often feel hopeless, vulnerable, and judged. It has been my privilege to assist families in reframing these feelings and coming alongside them and their children to provide healing within the family system.
"Meraki" means to do things with soul, creativity, and love; I believe these three qualities create a warm, safe counseling environment where individuals facing mental health challenges, trauma, or family conflict can heal. I am skilled in providing emotional and physical regulation and utilize a trauma-informed approach to addressing conflict within families, anxiety, depression, PTSD, and more. I offer individual, marriage, and family counseling sessions.
I hold a Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling from West Texas A&M University, which has equipped me with the knowledge and skills to support my clients effectively.
I understand that deciding to begin counseling can be difficult and scary. However, it is a brave first step that can improve a person’s quality of life as they begin to process and heal from past and present hurt.
