The decision to seek counseling is often a difficult one, and finding the right professional to trust can be an overwhelming experience. In times of uncertainty, we all could use an empathetic and experienced partner to help move toward feelings of empowerment, confidence, and peace. I am here to be that partner for you in times of distress or confusion.
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor Supervisor in the state of Texas. Since receiving my master's degree in Counseling and Development from Texas Woman's University in 2011, I have had the opportunity to provide counseling in a variety of settings, including non-profit organizations, public schools, grief and loss centers, and substance use treatment centers. In these settings, I have supported clients as they navigated depression, grief, stress, trauma, and life transitions. I specialize in working with adolescents and young adults but have worked with individuals of all ages.
My goal as a therapist is to create a safe space for my clients to practice self-exploration, gain confidence, and process significant life changes. I see my work with clients as very collaborative. You are the expert in your own life, and I want to walk with you through this process.
I am a native Texan and lifelong resident of the DFW area. While I loved my time at the University of Oklahoma, I was ready to come home to Texas to start my graduate degree. I am married and have a daughter. We enjoy spending time outdoors with our energetic yellow lab, Bobby. I love trying new restaurants, crafting with my little girl, and traveling.
