Amir Rand is the Clinical Director of SPEAR's Financial District location. He earned his Doctorate of Physical Therapy with distinction from The New York Institute of Technology. His clinical experience includes outpatient orthopedics, sports-related injuries, and post-operative rehabilitation.
While at NYIT, Amir completed a challenging acute bedside clinical affiliation at NYU’s Tisch Hospital. His experience at NYU gave Amir a greater appreciation for the rehabilitation experience.
Growing up on Long Island, Amir played Division I soccer, lacrosse, and football. Amir is also trained in mixed martial arts, having practiced Muay Thai and Jiu Jitsu for 10 years and counting. Amir’s experience with his own orthopedic injuries during his training sparked his passion for physical therapy.
Prior to joining SPEAR, Amir was a divisional director for a Fortune 500 staffing firm, helping New Yorkers achieve their career goals. Through his work, Amir was exposed to a variety of industries and gained valuable insight into the daily routines of different types of business professionals. This has helped Amir to quickly relate to the needs of his patients, enabling him to get them back to life and back to work stronger than prior to injury.

It was a relief to find Amir because my back pain had reached a point where my day-to-day activities were greatly diminished -including sleep. Amir gave direction and has helped bring me back and patience to explain in lay terms he is healing me in a stress free way that I could not have imagined.

Dr. Amir Rand is an excellent clinician who has helped remedy my back pain. He makes coming to physical therapy an absolute pleasure w| his superb bedside manner and the way he's able to connect with myself & other patients. He goes the extra mile w| patients follow up to ensure you stay on top of your exercises and is always responsive in case you have questions. I've seen many PTs and Amir is by far my favorite!
