Andrew Mallon is a South Jersey native and graduated from Rutgers University with his Doctor of Physical Therapy degree in 2014. Prior to earning his doctorate degree, Andrew studied engineering at Rowan College at Gloucester County through the NJ STARS Scholarship. It was then that Andrew became a person trainer and realized his passion for learning how the human body works. This prompted a shift in career path which led him to study Athletic Training at Rowan University.
During his athletic training studies, Andrew had the opportunity to work with multiple Rowan University sports teams, Timbercreek High School, Pitman High School and the Philadelphia Eagles. Andrew has gained experience in a variety of outpatient settings, as well as home care, acute care rehabilitation and sub-acute rehabilitation.
Prior to partnering with EXCEL, Andrew was the owner and founder of Reclaim Physical Therapy. Andrew prioritizes quality care with the understanding that each patient has unique needs for their treatment. Andrew is also a co-founder of the Greater Philadelphia Sports Medicine and Performance Research Review where he presents on the latest evidence-based information related to improving outcomes in rehabilitation and the performance of competitive athletes. He is a NATA Certified Athletic Trainer as well as NSCA Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist and NSCA Certified Personal Trainer.
In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with his wife, Amy, and his dog, Juno. He also competes and coaches natural bodybuilding competitors, and enjoys playing roller hockey.
