Making the decision to go to counseling can often feel overwhelming. Whether you’re just beginning your counseling journey, or looking to make a change,
I recognize the importance of working with a counselor who feels like the right fit for you. I seek to cultivate a mutual sense of trust, respect, and comfort in the therapeutic space as it is a necessary foundation for any therapeutic work to begin.
I take a trauma-informed approach that is primarily guided by humanistic and feminist perspectives, meaning I will strive to empower you to explore your experiences in a non-judgemental and supportive environment. I also integrate techniques from other perspectives, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT), when necessary, as I firmly believe that every client is different and requires an approach attuned to their individual needs.
I enjoy working with individuals 18+ on anxiety, trauma, and women’s issues, though I have experience treating a range of presentations. Healing is not a linear process and what may sometimes seem like a step back is often a step forward. I look forward to working with you and sharing in all that your unique journey brings.
