Aniko Thaler, LMSW

Psychotherapist
1700 Flatbush Ave, Brooklyn, NY
Through a warm, non-judgmental, patient-centered therapeutic approach, working as part of a behavioral health team, I draw upon a variety of modalities including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT). I have taken an integrative humanistic, culturally sensitive, and strengths-based approach in my work to create a safe and empathetic space for clients to explore their experiences and challenges of their journey. I support individuals and couples who experience anxiety, depression, self-esteem issues, relationship challenges, stress, major life transitions, illness, grief, and trauma. I have a wide range of experience working with diverse populations in various settings. I strongly believe in creating a safe space to build a therapeutic alliance with clients so they can explore important life questions and make meaningful changes. I value the uniqueness of each individual and the insight each client brings to the therapeutic space. I see the therapeutic process as a collaborative effort between clinician and client, with clients in charge of their lives. By working together, I support clients in achieving well-being, healing from past experiences including trauma, and integrating new, healthier ways of being. I hold a Master's in Social Work from Touro College, which has equipped me with a strong foundation to provide compassionate and effective care
