As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Certified Alcohol and Other Drug Counselor I specialize in individual and group psychotherapy. I work with adolescents and adults facing issues around codependency, addiction, and general mental health concerns including anxiety, depression and relationship transitions. I have extensive experience in addiction and trauma work, and have an understanding of 12-step recovery. In addition, I enjoy working with family members of individuals facing drug and alcohol abuse, and issues with compulsive behaviors. Families can heal.
Although it can be difficult to step outside dysfunctional roles that are no longer serving you, you do not have to do this alone. I believe in a strong connection between the power of nature and recovery through coordinating and leading outdoor experiential therapy groups in Chicago and Wisconsin. Having served as a recovery coach in a leading addiction treatment center, I appreciate different paths everyone takes towards healing. Recovery is possible.

Not sure if Anne was able to follow everything I said, and she usually took a long time to comment or ask questions. She also didn't take any notes at all, and always just looked alarm and frightened... didn't offer any helpful perspectives or methods I could practice
