I like to help my clients to recognize and appreciate the strengths they already possess and to consider and develop fresh perceptions of the past, present, and future. My goal in working with you is to develop a collaborative atmosphere in which you learn to recognize and respect your own expertise and ability to actualize meaningful change in your life. I work with children, adults, couples and families experiencing a range of issues including depression, anxiety, trauma, family relationship difficulties and behavioral challenges.
I help clients who have experienced trauma to regain the lost ability to maintain healthy self-regulation. I help clients with OCD to regain control over their lives through the use of evidence based exposure therapy techniques. I love to hear clients say "I never believed I would be able to do that" after we begin working on exposure exercises together.
I like to maintain a warm, open and honest atmosphere in which my clients feel comfortable to challenge themselves to examine old thoughts, beliefs and behavior patterns and to develop new ways of thinking about themselves and their environments.
