It is imperative that clients feel supported as they navigate the various challenges of life. As a mental health counselor, my focus is on providing clients with the support they need by utilizing both cognitive behavioral and person centered therapeutic modalities. By fostering nurturing relationships over time, clients will feel comfortable discussing their thoughts and emotions as they improve their overall wellbeing.
Nia is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and obtained her Master of Education and Master of Arts in Mental Health Counseling from Teachers College, Columbia University. Nia has experience working with teenagers, adults and couples who have conditions such as anxiety, depression and trauma. She provides guidance and empathy in a safe, comfortable and supportive environment for her clients to discuss the issues that they need help navigating.
