Ashley Belcourt is a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate under the supervision of Kendall Palmer, M.S., LPC-S. She is passionate about supporting clients through life’s major transitions, with a special focus on maternal and paternal mental health. Her own experiences with postpartum challenges, alongside supporting loved ones through perinatal loss and adjustment, inspired her to provide compassionate, evidence-based care where it is most needed.
Ashley works with individuals experiencing postpartum depression and anxiety, infertility, perinatal loss, and parenting challenges. She also enjoys working with couples navigating relationship changes and identity shifts, and with adolescents and young adults preparing for independence, higher education, or vocational paths. She supports clients re-entering the workforce or adjusting to new roles within the family, always emphasizing collaboration and empowerment.
Her approach is integrative, drawing from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Trauma-Focused CBT, Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Interpersonal Psychotherapy (IPT). She also incorporates person-centered strategies, motivational interviewing, and Gottman-informed practices. Ashley believes the therapeutic relationship is the foundation of healing and creates a safe, empathetic space where clients feel heard, validated, and supported in their goals.
Ashley is Maternal Mental Health-Certified (MMH-C) and has completed advanced Postpartum Support International (PSI) trainings in perinatal loss, psychopharmacology, and advanced psychotherapy in perinatal mental health. She is also trained in Trauma-Focused CBT, CPT, and Gottman Level 1, and holds certifications in Grief-Informed Practice and Youth & Adult Mental Health First Aid.
Outside of therapy, Ashley enjoys time outdoors with her family and dogs, exploring new restaurants, reading, and embracing life’s simple joys like a cold Diet Coke or a good nap.
