Dr. Boris Gilzon PT, DPT, OCS, CHT received his BS/PT from Hunter College, CUNY and continued his studies at LIU Brooklyn, where he received his DPT. Dr. Gilzon is a board certified Orthopedic Specialist and a Certified Hand Therapist.
He started his career at the Hospital for Joint Diseases/NYU Langone Medical Center and was quickly promoted to the position of a lead spine therapist at the Chronic Pain Program. Boris clinically collaborated with renowned spine surgeons and furthered his clinical skills through multiple continuing education and manual certification courses.
Shortly after Dr. Gilzon was recruited by NY Methodist Hospital to set up and develop the Spine Clinic, the first of its kind in Brooklyn. The clinic has quickly become a premier rehabilitation, multi-disciplinary facility for the treatment of spine related disorders.
After launching a successful Outpatient Private Practice Boris’ continued interest in Orthopedic led him to develop expertise in the treatment of the hand. He successfully passed a Certified Hand Specialty Examination and became an expert in fabrication of custom Orthotics as well as in the treatment of surgical and non-surgical conditions of the hand.
Disseminating his knowledge and skills became an important aspect of Dr. Gilzon career. He presented at numerous continuing education courses, he held a position of adjunct professor at CUNY/CSI health science graduate school. He was instrumental in contributing to NYU and Touro college Physical Therapy post-graduate Residency program.
Currently Dr. Gilzon is a clinical director of Park Sports Physical Therapy, a Brooklyn-based Physical Therapy Company. He is also an adjunct professor at Touro College Physical Therapy Program.
