Hello! My name is Brianna and I have been a practicing Licensed Clinical Social Worker since 2020, but have been practicing therapy since 2018. I know the last few years have been an adjustment for us all, with a global pandemic, current and world events, and a continuing change to what is our “normal” day to day life. As someone who has also had to adjust to personal and professional changes themselves over the last 2 years, I am prepared to help you through the impact that you have experienced throughout not just the last few years, but life thus far. I’m prepared to empathize with and help you towards your goals.
Over the last few years I have gained a wide range of experience. In 2017 I made the move back home to the Chicagoland area after completing my undergraduate degree at the University of Kentucky. I then received my Masters in Clinical Social Work with a concentration in Health from Loyola University Chicago. Over the past few years, I have had experience working with individuals seeking medication assisted treatment for substance use disorders. I have also had experience working with individuals with the following diagnoses: intellectual disabilities, schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, major depression, schizoaffective disorder, generalized anxiety disorder, panic disorder, as well as personality disorders. Through my experiences, as well as my education, I have been trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Functional Analytic Psychotherapy and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy.
My approach to therapy is person-focused, I believe that with a supportive listening ear, helping you work towards your goals through the identification of your values, and the growth of new coping skills to help in times of distress, so that your goals are never out of reach.
