I have had extensive experience over the years in crisis management and have been part of treatment teams addressing a wide spectrum of mental health diagnoses. I have significant experience working with adolescents and families, and I believe that having an open mind, patience, and compassion has been essential in this role. Youth face a unique set of stressors in recent years, which I have seen contribute to parent-child conflicts due to misunderstandings and communication breakdowns. I am a strong advocate for communication and strive to help families have productive conversations despite barriers or past experiences that may make this difficult at times.
I find that my demeanor, which is more authoritative than authoritarian, helps youth and adults who may be skeptical or unfamiliar with counseling feel more comfortable. This approach is especially useful when working with clients who have been exhausted by previous therapy experiences or who struggle to "buy in" to counseling as a beneficial tool. When appropriate, I like to incorporate games, crafts, or creative exercises into sessions. For clients who have difficulty expressing themselves verbally or experience high anxiety, these activities can help build rapport and provide an alternative to simply talking about feelings.

SERENIUM WELLNESS- absolute mess. Bridget could have been cool but they took my intake a couple times and I’m sick of calling the number and getting transferred all over the place. Completely ridiculous. Took 2 weeks to get an appointment after my intake
