Dr Rubenstein has been a god sent for me. He is very professional and knows his stuff. He genuinely cares about his patients. He took me on as a patient on a Sunday of a long weekend after my wife left a desperate message for him and 25 other doctors. He was the only one that got back to us and said I will make time for you since you need immediate help. Within two weeks I was feeling 50% better and by the 4th week about 80% better. He knows his meds. Don't think twice go with him.

Su preocupación por sus pacientes no tiene igual. Es muy respetuoso y honesto. Lo recomiendo 100%.

Bruce Rubenstein M.D. has been a board certified psychiatrist for over 25 years. He is board-certified with the National Board of Psychiatry and Neurology.
Received his B. A. at Hebrew University of Jerusalem and completed post-baccalaureate studies at Colombia University. Attended medical school at New York University School of Medicine and graduated with a degree conferred with honors. Completed his internship at New York Hospital/Cornell Medical Center and then went on to complete his residency in psychiatry at New York University Medical Center where he served as Chief Resident.
He has worked as a senior attending physician in diverse practice settings including psychiatric inpatient care, consultation liaison with other medical departments such as medicine, surgery and obstetrics/gynecology, crisis/emergency psychiatry, and outpatient centers. He has had extensive experience in telemedicine and novel integrations of psychiatric care with primary care centers, hospitalized patients and psychotherapy clinics. He has also had over five years of experience in telemedicine. At the beginning of his career, he was director of outpatient behavioral health services at New York University Medical Center.
Throughout most of his career he has maintained a private practice. In that setting, he is provided talk psychotherapy, medication treatment and a combination of the two. He has worked in various geographical locations including New York, New Jersey, Florida and Maryland. He holds medical licenses in all of these states in addition to Idaho.
He has been a Clinical Assistant Professor at Columbia University, New York University, and Upstate Medical University. He has also taught medical students and residents at the Universidad Pontificia Bolivariana in Medellin, Colombia.

Bruce is a wonderful doctor. His schedule is flexible and I'm always seen on time. Bruce has a great demeanor and is very insightful. He has helped me tremendously!

Bruce is hands-down the BEST therapist I have ever seen. Without medication, he helped me emerge from a state of depression and confusion about my job, my relationships, and my place in the world. Moreover, he has helped me evaluate my own thinking and actions to strengthen my own sense of self and to live a meaningful life on my own terms.
As far as his practice goes- Bruce is very compassionate, incredibly thoughtful, thorough, and highly communicative. I am in regular contact with him via email between appointments for administrative issues as well as to generally share my thoughts and continue our in-person conversations. He is very quick to respond to outreach and always engages with me. He also has the ability to do sessions virtually, which is convenient in case I travel for work etc. As an added bonus, Bruce also has a mini blog complete with videos on a wide range of topics, which have proven to be a helpful third perspective to engage with. I recommend Bruce to ALL of my friends, both those with an acute need for a psychiatrist as well as those looking to reroute their lives on a more meaningful path then the one they feel they are on.

Dr. Rubenstein is a wonderful psychiatrist and human being. I found his psychotherapy to be a highly effective combination of professional training and real world experience. It is obvious he cares very much about his patients and their overall wellbeing. I think I will look back in the future and be thankful our paths crossed. I cannot recommend him highly enough.

Dr. Rubenstein was terrific. He saw me on time and I immediately felt comfortable with him. He seemed very knowledgeable and caring. He asked good questions and I felt like he really understood what I was going through. He outlined a plan to address my problems and I feel like I'm in good hands. I would highly reccomend Dr. Rubenstein.

Dr. Rubenstein is an amazing psychiatrist. Prior to going to see him I had seen other doctors who spent more of the visit writing prescriptions than actually delving into the issues that brought me in. Within a short period of time I was off all medications and using coping tools that he taught me to manage issues that life threw at me. I have been seeing him for four years and my time with him has been marked with an incredible amount of personal and proffesional growth. He is what a physician should be - calming, compassionate and committed to his patients and their well being.
