Candace Morin Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. Throughout my career, I've had many counseling experiences, working with couples and families, and working with foster and adoptive parents. In addition, I have worked in corrections, civilian-military, and PTSD. Using talk therapy and therapeutic adventures, I see clients reaching the goals they set for the lives that they choose. It is amazing.
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy is my specialty. When you can change your thinking, you can change how you see your world and react to it.
My clients tend to want their lives to change. They are ready for something to happen. As we explore what they need and agree on assignments to achieve their goals, the magic happens.
I spend most of our time listening for clues on how to help my client identify what they value. There is nothing we can't talk about, and that opens up deep possibilities.
I have been in a career since I was young. As I grew up, I saw how listening and being fully engaged was helpful to so many. I suspect I was born to do this.
During our first session, we explored what changed to lead my client to seek help. It is the first step; understanding and changing takes time, and the journey is individual for us all.
