Hi there!
My name is Carmichah Jean, and I am a licensed mental health counselor in the state of Massachusetts with 7 years of experience in the mental health field. Throughout my career, I have held various positions including outpatient clinician, clinical intern, behavioral health care coordinator, aftercare coordinator, and mental health specialist vocational counselor. I have had the privilege of working with clients facing a range of mental health and substance use challenges, including depression, alcohol dependence, ADHD, PTSD, anxiety, emotional dysregulation, and intellectual limitations. Additionally, I have supported clients dealing with career-related concerns, intimacy issues, self-esteem struggles, and emotional withdrawal.
My therapeutic approach is client-centered, compassionate, and supportive. I utilize techniques from cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), motivational interviewing (MI), mindfulness therapy, and solution-focused therapy. These methods are applied in various treatment modalities such as individual therapy, group therapy, couples therapy, and family therapy. I firmly believe that everyone deserves happiness and the right psychological tools to lead a fulfilling and enjoyable life. Part of this journey involves loving and believing in yourself. Remember, you are worthy, you are important, and you are capable.
