Hi there, I'm Cassandra!
Hello, my name is Cassandra Black and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I provide a warm, empathic, and sensitive approach for those suffering from trauma, depression, anxiety, and PTSD. I welcome holding space for anyone ready for their healing journey. Look forward to working with you.
My approach
I use trauma-informed practice, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, DBT, Solution Focused Therapy, Person-Centered therapy, and Mindfulness practice.
My focus
My focus is working with adults ages 18-75.
My communication style
I provide a safe, warm, nurturing tone to all my clients. Clients experience a safe containment that allows them to open up and express their innermost feelings and struggles.
My journey to therapy
I have always been the type of person who is easy to talk to. I have always been nonjudgmental and open to diverse populations. I have first-hand experience with family members suffering from mental health disorders so I have great compassion for mankind.
My goals for you
I utilize a collaborative goal-setting approach, allowing the client to determine what goals they want to achieve and how and when they want to achieve them.
My first session with you
Clients will find their first session cathartic, allowing ventilation of feelings and emotions.
