Connie Cogburn is a Licensed Professional Counselor in Colorado who has been practicing since 2017. She has a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Psychology from Azusa Pacific University and a Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health from Adams State University. Connie is passionate about providing guidance to assist clients in meaningful, positive changes to their lives. She specializes in unique modalities to deal with trauma, anxiety, depression, Bi-Polar, PTSD, relational issues, workplace issues, couples’ issues, addictions, brain functioning, grief, family dynamics, and child welfare involvement. Modalities used include EMDR, CBT, DBT, Christian based counseling, and Solution Focused Therapy among others. Treatment plans are tailored uniquely for each client with flexibility to adjust as client needs adjust. Connie believes that progressing in the healing process and taking steps to better our lives can lead to such an enhancement beyond our expectations, and she loves to be part of that process for her clients. Outside of work, Connie loves spending time with her husband and family. They are a blended family and together have 5 young adult children. She also has 2 granddaughters. The other member of their family is “Finley,” their German Shorthair Pointer. She is exploring options for a therapy dog, as they have concluded that Finley’s energy is better used at home chasing balls and shadows. They also have a weekend business of managing rentals and vacation rentals. She loves to work with the guests and her husband is very busy with all the maintenance.
