Dana is a native-born Texan from Denton, TX. She attended Texas Woman's University, where she earned her Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy, graduating in 1980. She began her career in Dallas, TX, and after marrying in 1982, she moved to Clear Lake to join her husband, who worked with a NASA contractor.
Dana started her career at a pediatric outpatient clinic in Dallas. Upon moving to Houston, she worked at Hermann Hospital in the Texas Medical Center for three years. She then spent 19 years working in two school districts, many years in home health, and later practiced in a variety of settings while doing traveling therapy.
She has one son and two daughters, all of whom attended Clear Lake High School. Dana now has a grandson and granddaughter who live in Connecticut with her daughter-in-law and son, who is a Chief in the Coast Guard. Their locations inspired her to do several years of traveling physical therapy, which took her to Washington state during their stationing there. She also worked in Arizona, Louisiana, Missouri, and several places in Texas. Dana has since returned to her home in Clear Lake to complete her career, especially now that she has a 3-month-old granddaughter in Houston and both of her daughters and their spouses live nearby.
Dana loves to travel, spend time with family and friends, read, and enjoys many crafts such as cross-stitch, smocking, and scrapbooking. Her goal is always to provide each individual with whatever they need to achieve the best results for an overall positive rehabilitative experience.
