Hello, my name is Daniel Leal. I am an LPC with a Master’s in Counseling from West Texas A&M University and have been in the mental health field for about six years. My specialty and passion lie in working with adult and adolescent clients who are struggling with depression. However, I also enjoy working with all individuals to help them create opportunities to change their lives. I have gained extensive experience working with a range of mental health challenges, including highly acute clients with significant diagnoses such as Bipolar Disorder and Schizophrenia. I am comfortable working in many settings and would describe myself as inclusive and strength-based. The main theories I utilize are Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and Solution-Focused Therapy.
I consider myself an active listener and like to come alongside all clients as they decide to make positive changes in their lives. I am supportive and find joy in helping people identify their goals and make them a reality.
