Debbie earned her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from Boston University. She completed an original research study entitled, "The Relationship Among Self-Efficacy, Fear of Falling, Gait and Balance After an Eight Week Falls Prevention Program Intervention for Older Adults Living in the Community", with positive clinical results for reducing falls risk. She has taught continuing education seminars to other therapists on this topic.
Debbie earned her Masters degree in Physical Therapy from Washington University in St. Louis. In addition, Debbie earned a second Masters degree in Research Methodology and Statistics from Johns Hopkins University with original thesis work on running injuries entitled, "Preventing the Recurrence of Chronic Over-use Injuries in Middle to Long Distance Runners by Modifying Training Regimen". She also has Bachelors degrees in Athletic Training and Sports Management from Towson University and Biochemistry from University of Maryland.
Debbie's unique background provides her with the skills, knowledge, and insight to enhance patients' function and quality of life. Debbie understands her patients' goals and is able to establish a personal connection with them.
