Getting to know Denisha Maddie

As a therapist with a Master's in Clinical Counseling from The Chicago School, my goal is to create a welcoming and supportive environment where individuals can explore their feelings, overcome challenges, and develop the skills needed for emotional well-being. I work closely with adolescents and adults to address trauma, behavioral issues, anxiety, depression, and family dynamics in a way that is collaborative, compassionate, and tailored to each individual's unique needs.

What should a new client know about working with you?

I strive to make therapy a fun and engaging process for all clients, helping them grow in confidence while giving them practical tools for supporting their development. My approach is holistic, focusing on both emotional and mental health, while providing a welcoming space for healing and growth.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

I believe in using a mix of evidence-based approaches to engage clients in a way that feels natural and empowering. I specialize in trauma-informed care, anti-racism, and culturally responsive therapy. I also utilize spirituality, psycho-education, and pop culture to assist others in their healing journey.
