I believe in listening, curiosity, and unconditional positive regard. This means that I want to understand you and help you become a detective who looks into your own thoughts, feelings, desires, and actions. While it might feel vulnerable at first to allow someone access to your authentic self and internal dialogue, I aim to make sure you feel safe enough to be unapologetically open. Doing so allows you to get the most out of our sessions and make a very real impact on your own life. My promise is to always be honest, collaborative, and never judge you for what you think, feel, do, or have been through. People are complex and composed of numerous parts that form a whole; the parts that are no longer helpful can be challenged or reworked, and the only way to address them is to bring them to the surface and accept them for what they are. Only then can we make changes for the better. Are you unsure if you are ready to open up? No problem whatsoever. I understand that not everyone is ready to reveal certain parts of themselves. I will be patient and follow your lead when you feel ready and comfortable enough to share. I hold a Master’s degree in Counseling for Mental Health and Wellness from New York University, which informs my approach and commitment to supporting your growth.
