Eduardo E. Perez is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor with over 20 years of experience. He has his Bachelor's Degree in Psychology and his Master's degree with Major in Counselor Education, specialization in Mental Health Degree from Florida Atlantic University. He has worked in residential behavioral and substance abuse programs for adolescents, community based programs, psychiatric hospital and in-home services. He has provided therapy for children, adolescents and their families in residential substance/behavioral programs, outpatient community based mental health, and in home outpatient therapy as well as outpatient and residential treatment for adults with co-occurring disorders.
Eduardo has been a clinical supervisor, consultant and program coordinator. Eduardo's services have included individual, family and group therapy addressing issues such as adjustment issues, behavioral problems, attention deficit, depression, anxiety, oppositional defiance, co-occurring disorders, suicidal ideation and self- injurious behaviors. He believes in a client directed approach for therapy with the focus on developing a healthy therapeutic alliance. Having been trained in The Partners for Change Outcome Management System (PCOMS); an evidenced based practice, the client's voice is privileged in therapy and it is utilized in collaboration with the therapist to successfully achieve the client's therapeutic change.
Being bilingual, English and Spanish, Eduardo uses the client's preferred language for therapeutic services. Eduardo uses an eclectic approach with clients based on their preference, including Client Centered Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interview, Brief Behavioral Focused Therapy and Solution Focus.
