Elizabeth Pyle, MSW

Psychotherapist
MI
Hi there, I'm Elizabeth! Making the choice to start therapy, or perhaps start again is such a great way to take care of yourself. I welcome you to view my profile and see if I might be a good fit. I specialize in trauma healing, life transitions, mood and anxiety issues. I view myself as a client centered therapist, taking great consideration of people's backgrounds, interests, beliefs and values and making sure they receive a safe and helpful therapeutic experience. My approach I am trained in Eye Movement and Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR) and Sensorimotor Psychotherapy (Level 1), which I have found to be helpful somatic models to help process trauma. I also use approaches from the Internal Family Systems model to promote healthy understanding about why we do the things we do. I am passionate about helping people dig deeper and learn more about themselves. I encourage the practice of mindfulness to help learn how to create calm and safety within the body. My focus Are you carrying around old wounds that hinder your progress in the present? I love to work with individuals who are in a place to process trauma and material. Working on healing helps to set us free and achieve our potential in the present. I love working with pregnant and postpartum women to help support and cope with this life transition. Maybe you find yourself struggling with more anxious thoughts, feeling like your brain is constantly cycling, and it is hard to slow it down. I find great satisfaction in working with people to address anxiety or stressful life stages and finding resources that work well for them. My communication style I prioritize clear and direct communication. I view the therapeutic relationship as a place to have open and honest dialogue always, I take client's goals seriously and want to make sure they are receiving what they need. Therapy is an investment of time, money and emotional labor; I am honored when people make the choice to work with me.
