The provider is an AMFT and is currently working under the supervision of a licensed practitioner. Their current employer is Connected Roots Therapy Current openings for couples, families, teens, and children! Talking and figuring it all out isn't getting you there. You are more than your words and your stories. The body is a treasure chest, etched with our life's story and ancestral history. When we turn towards it, and become literate in its unique language, an unwinding happens, leading us from self-identified suffering into healing. Maybe for you, your body feels like a foreign place, a confusing place, or even a dangerous one. Or perhaps it is in the external world - whether in specific relationships or systems - that feels complex and difficult to adjust to. By collaborating with your whole self, a deeper sense of unification and clarity will be born. Let's deepen together in body-oriented, experiential psychotherapy. Therapy with me might look different than you've imagined or experienced! My specialty is in somatic (body-based) psychotherapy with an emphases on mindfulness and relational healing. Safe somatic touch is also an option in our work. I offer ongoing psychotherapy and ketamine assisted psychotherapy. It is not your fault when it hurts. It does not mean you are doing something wrong. You innately belong to a robust ecosystem that is here to support you. Finding support in your journey is brave. Believing there is support takes courage. I am here to remind you. May you find the support you are looking for. My door is open.

What should a new client know about working with you?

The body is the keeper of our stories. It speaks to us, and if we are willing to listen, guides us to healing. One of the benefits of bringing the body's language into psychotherapy is that it is accessible to all ages. There's no requirement to have the right words or a crystal clear understanding of what is going on. We can be in the "I don't know" together, and use various modalities to find the way closer to the actual experience happening. My primary approaches are Relational Somatic Healing (which utilizes safe somatic touch work), Experiential Therapy, and Mindfulness. For those who want to take a deeper dive, ketamine may be a supportive approach to getting to the roots of what is arising.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

A standard therapy session with me lasts 50 minutes. The first session will be an assessment session when we'll determine whether we're a good fit to continue. After that, the beginning sessions are a time to get to know each other and lay the foundations for the work we'll be doing together. We'll use different embodiment and awareness techniques to begin to build more consciousness around what you're sharing, which will lead us into doorways of deeper understanding. Some people work with me weekly or bi-weekly on an ongoing basis. Others work with me within more of a "deep dive" model, where we work together for 8-12 sessions focused on a specific topic.
