My approach
Georena utilizes motivational interviewing, cognitive and rational behavioral, and solution-focused approaches in therapy. While knowing that there is not a one size fits all approach in counseling, Georena has the ability to incorporate creativity and awareness necessary to best meet your needs.

My journey to therapy
I became attracted to therapy when I realized that I had a true desire to help others. I was always the person that others, some I didn’t really know, would tell me their problems and issues and I would always want to be a support and listen.

Goal setting is always a collaborative effort between the client and the therapist.
My first session with you
Clients should expect a discussion of confidentiality and how therapy can take time. I would also complete an assessment to obtain important information along with the reason that therapy is being pursued.
