Gerald Dufour, Jr. and his highly experienced staff, currently provide physical therapy to his clients out of Superior Physical Therapy in Philadelphia, PA and Woodbury, Heights, NJ. The evidence-based practice is patient-centered and their motto is “experienced, compassionate and focused on you.”
Over the years, Gerald has helped thousands of people with a variety of conditions and built a wealth of knowledge about the way the body works and moves. He passes that knowledge on to you beginning with your very first treatment. You will be able to discuss your concerns and talk about your goals so you know what to expect at every stage of your therapy. Being informed and feeling understood, can be a real comfort in those challenging moments.
Gerald received his Bachelor's and Advanced Master’s degree in physical therapy from Thomas Jefferson University in 1992. Mr. Dufour was a clinical lab instructor/assistant at TJU for 11 years and practiced in a variety of health care settings before opening his own practice in 2001. He is a member of multiple sections of the Pennsylvania and American Physical Therapy Association. Gerald is also a strength and conditioning instructor as well as a Pilates instructor.
Mr. Dufour welcomes patients to his practice who have had a wide range of surgeries and joint replacements; work-related injuries; injuries as a result of a MVA; are experiencing back, neck, shoulder, hip, or knee pain; arthritis; balance and walking disorders; or the after-effects of stroke or other neurological conditions.

We had been to one of the larger area PT offices in Philadelphia. We felt we were always waiting and then rushed through. Superior Physical Therapy gave/gives my daughter the personal attention she needs, which translates into much better results.

Extremely professional and caring. I found Gerald Dufour to be more knowledgeable than some of the doctors I went to visit. I recommend several of my friends to see Mr. Dufour and they can't stop thanking me. Mr. Dufour changed my friend's life with PT, three doctors wanted to operate on him and with Mr. Dufour's treatment my friend is back to work and pain free. Gerald Dufour is truly the best PT in the Philadelphia Area.
