Dr. Gina Nguyen is a Doctor of Physical Therapy who earned her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from the MGH Institute of Health Professions in Boston, MA.
Gina loves working with all orthopedic (including post-surgical) and sports-related aches and pains. She has treated hundreds of patients, from ages 7 to 90, getting them back to doing the things they love such as playing with their kids, returning to sports, safely back to work, and simply enjoying life with decreased risk of reinjury. She is barbell rehab method certified to get barbell athletes back to their sport pain-free! She understands that rehab from pain can be a tough progress, and she takes the time to get to know her patients 1 on 1 to individualize and modify their plan of care so they are able to attain their goals.
Gina is also an LSVT BIG certified clinician who enjoys working with patients with Parkinson’s Disease and helping them make bigger movements, walk better, and have improved balance in order to feel more confident in all aspects of their lives. In addition to her Balance Level I and Level II certifications, Gina has experience working with patients who are post-stroke, spinal cord injuries, concussions, and other neurological disorders.
With all her patients, she aims to get them stronger and not let their disease or condition limit their potential or stop them from doing what they want to do.
Fun fact: she’s a powerlifter and rock climber! She also loves exploring the food scene around the Tampa Bay area and is always down to give and receive recommendations.
