What should a new client know about working with you?

You are the expert on your life, and I view therapy as a collaborative process. My role is to walk alongside you—whether you need space to vent, explore your emotions, or practice skills that can help you feel more grounded. Clients often describe my style as compassionate, nonjudgmental, and supportive. I strive to meet you where you are, honoring your lived experience and cultural identity. My approach draws primarily from CBT and DBT, integrated through a trauma-informed and culturally responsive lens.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

In our first few sessions, we’ll focus on getting to know your story—what brought you to therapy, your goals, and what you would like to gain from treatment. From there, each session will be tailored to your needs, whether that’s processing emotions, learning new coping strategies, or challenging unhelpful thought patterns. I offer both in-person and online sessions on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. As a master’s-level social work student at MSU Denver, I bring current training in trauma-informed and client-centered care, while also ensuring that each client feels empowered and respected in their healing journey.
