Getting to know Hannah Carlsrud

My therapeutic approach is supportive and collaborative. As a mom and therapist, I understand the unique struggles parents face in this season of life. I believe that reaching out for support is a huge sign of strength, even if it doesn't always feel that way. I am here to support you in finding skills and techniques that work for you to manage your personal stressors and struggles. I believe every individual is unique in their experience and will tailor my approach to your needs. I think our story and where we come from play an important role in how we conceptualize the world and our future life. I see my clients as capable of changing their story and offer non-judgment, compassion, and honesty in the process of healing. I hold a Master's degree in Counseling Psychology from Northwest University and a Bachelor's degree from the University of Bremen.

What should a new client know about working with you?

I provide individual and couple’s counseling. I specialize in the perinatal time, which includes fertility issues, pregnancy support, and postpartum work. I also have a deep passion for first responders and military personnel. I incorporate EMDR (Eye Movement and Desensitization and Reprocessing), a trauma-informed approach to treat PTSD, anxiety, depression, and more. I also draw from other approached such as CBT, DBT, ACT and Gottman for couples.
