Heidi completed her master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy at Saint Mary's University of Minnesota. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology and Criminal Justice from Northwestern University and is working towards licensure through the state of Minnesota as a marriage and family therapist.
Heidi enjoys working with individuals, couples, families, and adolescents and has extensive experience supporting individuals with developmental and physical challenges. She utilizes a collaborative and narrative approach when treating clients and works with them on a variety of issues.
With more than 20 years of experience providing services to Minnesota communities, Heidi has worked in ARMHS, CTSS, ILS, job coaching adults with developmental disabilities, teaching adults with physical and mental challenges through community education, and managing in-home services.
What can you expect in therapy? Therapy is a special and safe place where you can explore your own life story. Your story is as unique as you are. Therefore, you are in charge, but you are not alone. One of Heidi's strengths is building a strong and stable therapeutic relationship with clients and coming alongside them in their therapeutic journey. She also creates space for clients to be open to sensitive topics and fosters a comfortable environment to learn and discover.
