Hi, I am Mason Lewerenz, MA, an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (AMFT#130347) and a graduate of the Clinical Counseling Master’s Degree Program at Antioch University Los Angeles, class of 2021. I am an eclectic therapist.
What does it mean to be an eclectic therapist? I selectively apply techniques from a variety of approaches to best fit each person’s needs. We take our time to explore issues as they come up; whether it’s the ‘issue of the week,’ a themed exploration, an interaction with friends or family, or a recurrent source of distress. We create a relational micro-system to safely explore, experiment, and challenge your distress.
Eclectic Therapy addresses a wide range of mental health concerns.
This approach works because we dynamically tailor the therapy to your unique and evolving areas of concern. Some of the mental health concerns eclectic therapy can address include: anxiety, depression, interpersonal/romantic/familial relationships, communication, boundary setting, low self-esteem/image/worth, anger, LGBTQ-related issues, consensual non-monogamy, and transition-related concerns.
I believe in Inclusive and Affirmative Therapy.
I offer psychotherapy services to all people. One way I do this, for example, is through decentering white, heterosexual, monocentric, ableist, and cisgender perspectives. Your individual experiences and the intersection of your identities are a priority.
