Hello! I'm Jacquelyn, a Licensed Independent Social Worker (MSW) with a passion for destigmatizing mental health treatment and fostering growth and independence. My journey in social work has taken me through various subspecialties, including developmental disabilities, addictions, forensics, and now private practice. Each role has reinforced my commitment to supporting people in examining their thinking and finding real-life solutions.
In my practice, I use multiple therapeutic modalities such as EMDR, cognitive behavioral therapy, mindful self-compassion, and motivational interviewing. I find clients' resilience truly inspiring and enjoy working with veterans, trauma survivors, and parents, among others. My approach is grounded in social work principles, focusing on understanding and supporting clients rather than blaming them. This makes therapy more accessible and user-friendly than ever before.
I believe that therapy should be a collaborative and empowering process. My goal is to create a safe and supportive environment where you can explore your thoughts and feelings, and work towards meaningful change. Whether you're dealing with anxiety, depression, family relationships, perinatal support, or trauma, I'm here to help you navigate your journey.
Please note that I only provide in-office sessions on Thursdays and Fridays. Feel free to schedule a session online to find a time that works for you. I look forward to meeting you and supporting you on your path to well-being.
