I've felt quite comfortable and relaxed during our sessions... even parts I thought would be awkward weren't. She listens very carefully and guides the conversation just enough. I can tell she's being careful about weighing different factors and not rushing into a diagnosis.

Jennifer Kraker, M.D., M.S., is a board certified Columbia and Cornell educated psychiatrist who helps people who are experiencing arduous circumstances—such as relationship stress, family strain, career frustrations, worry, life transitions and times of crisis—live their most meaningful life. Often described by her patients as a compassionate doctor who "gets it," Dr. Kraker treats all psychiatric disorders including addictions, eating disorders, anxiety, depression, women’s reproductive issues across the lifespan, ADHD, bipolar disorder, and OCD. She has a comprehensive background in nutrition and is comfortable using a traditional or complementary/integrative treatment approach. Buprenorphine treatment is offered. Her approach is highly personal—she will work with you to find the right combination of psychotherapy, medications, and integrative treatment modalities. Additionally, she has authored numerous medical journal articles on nutrition and the brain and lectured at the UN about women's international mental health.

Dr. Kraker is the best psychiatrist I have ever seen. From the first visit, she made me feel calm and welcomed. She also gave me very smart insight into my problems. We are currently working together to reduce my medication intake.

Nice professional environment with free flowing thought provoking conversation. Dr. Kraker is highly educated and experienced. Even though she is fairly new to having her own practice, her style and expertise feel much like other doctors who Ive had in the past with 20+ years of private practice experience.

Lovely office! I've never had any wait. Dr. Kraker is very attentive. Although she doesn't accept insurance (it seems most psychiatrists don't), she willing to work with you to help be reimbursed.

In my 13 years of receiving mental health support, Dr. Kraker ranks among my favorite therapists/doctors.
She is genuine, sweet, and brilliant.
When you suffer from mental illness, whether it is a temporary and moderate episode or more severe and chronic, it's so easy to be hard on yourself about it. Dr. Kraker taught me to be more understanding and forgiving of myself.

I found this doctor to be extremley cold in her bedside manner, and was extremley insenstive. This doctor also has a very strict cancellation policy, so beware when scheduling.

I felt comfortable right away with Dr. Kraker, and find her compassionate & intelligent. I really like that she doesn't push medications, but mostly how well she understands me.

Dr Kraker is very compassionate and extremely knowledgable. She asked the right questions and thoroughly explained everything to me. I left feeling much better than when I walked in. It was both really informative and reassuring to consult such a knowledgeable doctor who genuinely tries to help.
