I want to help those ready to make changes! Change isn't easy and it takes those who are willing to make some uncomfortable shifts in their lives and relationships. I specialize in couples therapy, also but work with many family and individual concerns. I help clients understand patterns and habits preventing the happiness and fulfillment. I then help clients understand what steps need to be taken to achieve positive changes, build deeper connections, and establish empowering habits.
As an Army spouse of 27 years and a mother of 7 (now adult) children, I've had the opportunity to help couples, families, and individuals all over the world as a marriage and family therapist. While I have had the privilege of helping people overcome many challenges, because of my doctorate in couples and family therapy, my focus has largely been helping couples improve their emotional and physical intimacy, build deeper trust, heal from infidelity, and develop healthy means of communication. I also work extensively with parents and families to improve emotional closeness and communication.
I have helped many teens and individuals improve self-confidence and build healthy relationships through greater self-compassion using CBT and building on existing strengths. I'm EMDR trained and use it effectively in online therapy helping clients heal from trauma and negative core self-beliefs.
I use secure online therapy only, but have found it highly effective and very convenient for clients.
