Hi, I'm Jessica, owner of Boston Somatic Therapy, Inc. I am a licensed clinical social worker, therapist, and trauma & anxiety expert with training in Somatic Experincing and Somatic EMDR. I am also a Trauma Center Trauma Sensitive Yoga Facilitator. I am currently accepting new clients virtually across Massachusetts and in person in East Boston. I focus on treating motivated adults and teens who want to find new skills and tools for overcoming symptoms of anxiety and trauma and gain a better understanding of their minds and behaviors. If you have been feeling stuck, tense, disorganized or disconnected, I can work with you to heal your nervous system and gain mastery to understand your emotions using evidenced-based interventions. My sessions can be a place to vent, process, learn skills, create safety in your body and gain the freedom to move forward. I use an integrative approach tailored to each individual's specific needs. My main focus is working with Somatic Experiencing or body-based "ground up" approaches. I also have trained in psychodynamic and strengths-based relational approaches and Cognitive Processing Therapy for trauma. I also work with couples hoping to improve communication, connect emotionally, and find a path forward. My work with couples focuses on ways to problem solve and build or re-build a partnership while also being able to better understand how each partner shows up in the dynamic.
