I have been seeing Dr. Lavender for about two and a half years. She has been utterly amazing. I understand myself so much better than I used to, and she has helped me deal with numerous problems in my life. In addition, she has been flexible and understanding about scheduling. I cannot say how glad I am to have found her.

My hope is to convey a sense of comfort, thoughtfulness and responsiveness, no matter what you share with me, from the first to the final session. There are six elements that shape my approach: what brings you to therapy, my education, clinical experience and past psychotherapy, our deepening therapeutic relationship, our unique life experiences and a crucial element called felt sensing. Felt sensing gives you immediate access to your EMOTIONAL progress, as it occurs, moment by moment. I have never found anything quite like it and my clients feel the same way. After many years of practice, I am still astonished by this process, which has been identified as a central agent of change in psychotherapy. I had relationship problems personally and at work. I wasn't sure whether a therapist the age of my boss would understand me. I was wrong! Interesting. Got practical help from Dr. Lavender who really got it. Nice sense of humor too.
