Who is Jo Werther? A licensed clinical social worker and mindfulness-based life coach with twenty-five years of practice in mental health counseling, substance abuse treatment, high school and college counseling, hospice care, and private practice. Jo earned her Master of Social Work degree from the University of New England in 1995. A popular podcast host, compassionate counselor and life coach, intuitive thinker, and inspiring teacher, she is the creator of The New Plan A and The Five Ps of Inner Peace-two unique methods for healing from heartbreak, loss, and grief, mastering stress, and restoring emotional well-being through simple daily practices. Versatile and creative, Jo brings enthusiasm, warmth, and a down-to-earth approach to her work with individuals and groups grappling with loss, change, and stress of all kinds. Her method, support, and guidance focus on helping you discover what works for you and then put it into practice in your own life. Jo enjoys singing and playing the guitar and mandolin. In 2011, she founded and directed a hospice choir that sang at the bedsides of the dying and offered educational presentations to the community about the power of music at the end of life. Alongside making music, Jo's own recipe for restoring and maintaining emotional well-being includes writing, skiing, hiking, kayaking, dancing, and chatting with good friends around cozy campfires.
