I’m a licensed therapist dedicated to helping individuals and couples move beyond surface-level symptom relief to create lasting transformation. With a Master’s in Social Work from Jackson State University, my approach blends depth psychology, purpose development, and practical tools to help clients face anxiety, relationship challenges, trauma, and life transitions with clarity and courage.
Therapy with me isn’t just about feeling better—it’s about becoming more whole, more honest, and more fully alive.
I serve adults across North Carolina through in-person sessions in Matthews and virtual therapy statewide. I’m in-network with BCBS and Aetna.
What should a new client know about working with you?
Clients often tell me they feel deeply understood for the first time in a long while. Our work together is warm, honest, and grounded—not formulaic. I value curiosity, collaboration, and truth over quick fixes.
Whether you're feeling stuck, overwhelmed, disconnected, or questioning your purpose, my role is to help you explore those deeper layers safely and with direction.
You won’t be pathologized—you’ll be invited into a process of meaningful growth, at a pace that fits your story.
What is your typical process for working with clients?
Our first few sessions will focus on understanding what brings you in, what’s not working, and what you’re longing for beneath the surface. I’ll ask thoughtful questions, listen closely, and help clarify the patterns and possibilities in your life.
From there, we’ll co-create a path forward. I draw from evidence-based modalities, depth psychology, and purpose-centered work to meet you where you are. Some clients come weekly, others bi-weekly, and some move into longer-term work for deeper integration.
Together, we’ll aim for something greater than symptom relief—we’ll work toward genuine transformation.

For clients who are out-of-network, we can provide a superbill upon request to help you seek reimbursement from your insurance provider. We also offer private-pay options if you're not using insurance.

I’ve been working with Ed for the last two years. I can only speak personally, but Ed has been instrumental in my progression as a human and some of the complexities to work through.
I’d be surprised if anyone else he works with, who all have unique personalities, would disagree with me. Ed has a unique ability to shed light on things that may be hard to reason. I would highly recommend this practice!
