Excellent experience, highly recommend! Seasoned, knowledgeable DPT and staff, clear communicators and caring. Thorough assessment, collaborative goal setting, addressed both pain and strengthening completely. I am so lucky that he is truly in network with my insurance plan, because I signed up for 3x/week PT right away. Gold.

Additional experience includes outpatient orthopedics at the STAR Clinic in Redwood City and providing home health services throughout the San Francisco Bay Area. My research has focused on frozen shoulder interventions, inner ear vestibular treatments post-surgery, and the effects of fatigue and stress on function and performance.

Dr. Sarsour is very kind, attentive, and has great bedside manner. That said, the setup of his studio and the way the practice is run left me feeling uneasy. When I arrived, the space felt more like a mix between a wrestling gym and a physical therapy office. His staff seemed very young, and although they were nice, they often looked to him for direction, which made me question how much professional training they had. I’m used to one-on-one physical therapy, but here there were at least five patients being seen at the same time by Dr. Sarsour and his staff. When I asked about my diagnosis, stretches, and a longer-term plan, I only received vague answers and a quick verbal outline. While I don’t doubt that Dr. Sarsour truly cares about his patients, the overall atmosphere felt scattered and unprofessional, and it made me skeptical about continuing care there.
Very poor - there were 6 patients for one PT at the office… I was told of the hefty bill after the session (blamed on ZocDoc not providing my insurance info)….with the majority from a 20 minute “evaluation” and “8 minutes of stretching”. I had to fight off the additional charges for “activities” (did pushups to warm up and told I was working on my posture by sitting…) The PT did not provide any plan for what I should do at home or any written instructions on stretches I could do at home - we essentially went through a few stretches 1-2 times live and I didn’t even get a sense of what # reps on each side, frequency to do, etc. I asked for a summary of my evaluation and a plan of exercises I should do daily to improve and I got a lot of push back and reluctance (no time to take notes or put together something for you, I have 6 people here) Equipment looked dated and space was a mess. Generally a nice guy, but don’t think I got the help I needed
Dr. Sarsour is a sports medicine specialist which really helped him advise me on techniques as well as provide tailored exercises to perform at home. I'm currently working through the curriculum and getting results. Good availability on the calendar, and lots of equipment set up on site to try techniques with both motion and resistance.

I was referred to a physical therapy by my Primary Doctor, but I would have to wait months, and the pain in my hip was becoming unbearable. I also had a trip planned. I'm lucky that I found Dr. Joseph through ZocDoc and was able to schedule an appointment within two days. Dr. Joseph not only provided me with great tips and exercises, but also took the time to administer treatment and make me feel better. How often do you go with a pain to the dr, and leave without it? He is kind and knowledgeable. Highly recommend.

My first few visits with Dr. Joseph were great! He taught me so much in a short time about different movements and therapies I can apply at home to ensure I’m maximizing my recovery. He’s amazing and his daughter Jude is great with further assistance. They make a nice team and I’m so happy they have made me feel better 1 week after surgery!

I had a great experience. Doctor Joe explained what was going on with my shoulder and made me feel confident we could resolve the issue. Not only do I feel better that he was able to identify the issue. I feel like I have a plan to recovery now.
