Hi there, I'm Josie!
I’m so glad you’re here. I’m a mental health therapist specializing in trauma, and my approach blends modern clinical social work with cultural strengths, ceremony, and traditional wisdom. I believe healing happens in connection—to ourselves, our stories, and our communities. My goal is to create a safe, affirming space where you feel seen, supported, and empowered in your journey.
My approach
My approach to care is holistic, person-centered, and deeply rooted the belief that we all need and deserve connection and kind human interaction. I believe that healing is not just an individual journey but one that is connected to our stories, families, and communities. I help clients rediscover resilience and self-acceptance in ways that feel authentic to them. Clinically, I draw from humanistic and postmodern social work theories, which emphasize each person’s inherent worth, self-growth, and ability to make choices that align with their authentic self. I also challenge traditional power structures and embrace multiple perspectives, recognizing that each person’s experience is shaped by their cultural, social, and personal narratives. For individuals who have felt marginalized, silenced, or disconnected from themselves due to trauma, societal pressures, or systemic barriers, I work to create a space where they can safely explore their identities, emotions, and healing paths. I provide equitable, gender-affirming, and LGBTQIA+ friendly care to all individuals, regardless of legal status. I believe that everyone deserves access to compassionate, culturally responsive mental health support. With warmth, nonjudgment, and deep respect, I walk alongside my clients, helping them build resilience, reclaim their narratives, and move toward healing in a way that honors their full humanity.
